In 1947, with t<strong>he founding of the Piccolo Teatro by Giorgio Strehler and Paolo Grassi<\/strong>, Milan established itself as a center of auteur prose and socially engaged theater. The Piccolo became <strong>Italy&#8217;s first permanent theater<\/strong>, marking a turning point in the history of national theater. Its productions, often politically and socially engaged, laid the foundation for a new approach to theater, combining social reflection with artistic quality.   <\/p><p>Today, Milan continues to be <strong>a crossroads of theatrical trends<\/strong>, with a program that ranges from classics to more experimental productions. Originally a puppet theater, after extensive restoration, it reopened in 2017 and today offers a diverse program ranging <strong>from drama to music<\/strong> in a <strong>charming and intimate setting<\/strong>. <\/p><p>For Milanese, theater is not just an art to be enjoyed, but <strong>a true social and cultural ritual<\/strong>.
